On 17 October 2023, between Htein Ta Pin and Ka Lein Khin villages (coded as Htein Ta Pin) (Nyaunglebin township, Bago district, Bago-East region), an unknown local People's Defense Force blew up a railway segment between Peinzalok and Nyaunglebin train stations on the Yangon-Mandalay railway with remote explosives. Local PDF claimed that the railway was destroyed because the military was transporting weapons and provisions with the public train system.
