On 17 October 2023, in Kyaukkyi township (Taungoo district, Bago-East region), the Myanmar military dropped two bombs from three fighter jets and fired machine guns on Lel Htoo Lue area at around 8:13 am, damaging two buildings. Subsequently, the military dropped two bombs from fighter jets and fired machine guns on Ka Dee Su Day area, injuring three KNLA troops. A building and two farms were damaged. In the same morning, the military launched airstrikes on Pei War De village, injuring a 25-year-old man. In the evening, the military conducted airstrikes with three fighter jets and fired machine guns on Kwee Lar village, Htee Yoe Htaw Pa Law and Say Baw De villages.
