Around 18 October 2023 (as reported), a civilian truck conveying goods to Maiduguri from Gamboru Ngala triggered an IED around Gamboru Ngala, Gamboru (Ngala, Bornu). The explosives were believed to have been planted by an ISWAP /Boko Haram (JAS). It damaged the truck and injured the driver and passenger. The injured were evacuated to Gamboru General Hospital for treatment. There were no fatalities.
