Bomb disposal teams descended on Gateshead after a suspected unexploded device was discovered on a Gateshead building site. Pictures taken last night show police cars blocking St James Street, near Gateshead Stadium Metro Station. Police had been called out earlier that afternoon to the construction site after a device, believed to be an unexploded ordnance, was discovered.
