Grenade event in Balochistan, Zarchain Wadh area, Pakistan on Tue 17th October 2023

In a heart-wrenching incident, a child lost his life while eight others sustained injuries in a hand grenade explosion on Tuesday in the Zarchain area of Balochistan’s Wadh city, as reported by local authorities. According to Wadh Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Abdul Manaf, the victims, children from a local madressah, were tragically “playing with the hand grenade when it exploded,” leading to the casualties. The injured children were swiftly rushed to a nearby hospital in Wadh for immediate medical attention. Subsequently, two of the injured youngsters were being transferred to a hospital in Khuzdar, but one of them sadly succumbed to the injuries en-route. In response to this distressing event, authorities have cordoned off the affected area and initiated an investigation into the incident.
