On 7 October 2023, RSF shelled artillery targeted civilians in Jabal Aulia (Jebel Awlia, Khartoum). At least 45 were killed and 90 were wounded. Hospitals in the city became out of service. 190 people were killed 600 were wounded across two days in Jabal Aulia, 145 unspecified fatalities split between 6 and 7 October. Fatalities coded as 118 (45+73).
