On 9 October 2023, in Shwebo town of Shwebo township (Shwebo district, Sagaing region), a combined force of the Northern Tigers Group, the Taik Taing Aung People's Defense Force, the Garuda People Defence Force, and unidentified local defense forces conducted drone strikes against a Myanmar military unit at the security checkpoint located at the entrance of Shwebo town. Two military troops were killed.
