On 11 October 2023, in Chaung Wa village of Kyaikto township (Thaton district, Mon state), nine rounds of heavy artillery shells fired by the Myanmar military troops stationed in the Let Pan village landed in Chaung Wa village and destroyed a motorbike at around 7 am. There were no casualties.
