On 7 October 2023, in Doe Pa Rei village (Hpruso township, Loikaw district, Kayah state), the Myanmar military from No.14 Advanced Military Training School fired four artillery rounds into the village without an armed clash occurring at around 1 pm. An 8-year-old boy was killed by artillery shells, and two houses were damaged.
