On 12 October 2023, Turkish army drones carried out air strikes against PKK positions in Gire Carcel area in Al Amadiya district, Duhok. Casualties unknown. HPG (PKK) claimed that Turkish forces used bombs containing poisonous gas during the strikes, but this was not confirmed by other sources.
