One Police constable, identified as Wakeel Khan, was killed while three other Policemen sustained injuries when more than 25 militants attacked the Hathala Police Station in Dera Ismail Khan District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on October 8, reports The Khorasan Diary. Rocket Propelled Grenades (RPG) were used to target the recently upgraded police installation, when it was a police post it has been attacked more than a dozen times. With a heavy deployment of police and reinforcements, the militants managed to escape the retaliatory fire which lasted almost 45 minutes.
