On October 4, two Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM) militants identified as Basit Amin Bhat and Saqib Ahmad Lone were killed in a gunfight with Security Forces (SF) in the Kujjar area of Kulgam District in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), reports Daily Excelsior. The encounter began when SFs initiated a cordon and search operation based on intelligence. The SFs were met with militant gunfire, resulting in the successful neutralization of the militants, said the report.
