On 1 October 2023, an employee of the 3BB Company stepped on a landmine planted by Malay Muslim separatists while repairing communication lines by the roadside in Kue Tae village, Yaha, Yaha (Yala), severing his left leg and later died. The other employee sustained minor injuries. It was believed that the explosive device was planted by the separatists with the intention of harming officials.
