On September 18, a local Congress (political party) leader, identified as Baljinder Singh Balli alias ‘namberdar’, was shot at his house in Dala Village in Moga District of Punjab, for which Canada-based gangster-turned-terrorist Arshdeep Singh Gill alias Arsh Dala took to Facebook to claim responsibility, reports The Indian Express on September 19. Police said that two assailants came on a bike and one entered the house and shot a bullet that pierced his chest, and the other hit his thigh. Dala was declared a designated terrorist on January 9, 2023, by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and is closely associated with the Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF) in Canada.
