A soldier, identified as Sepoy Shakeel Shafqat (21) was killed in an exchange of fire with terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on September 23, reports Geo News. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed this incident and said that "during the conduct of the operation, intense fire exchange took place between our troops and terrorists. Own troops effectively engaged terrorists’ locations. Additionally, Sepoy Shakeel Shafqat (21) chose martyrdom while putting up a valiant fight’’.
