On 16 September 2023, in Aung Ja and Nam Sang Yang village (Waingmaw township, Myitkyina district, Kachin state), the Myanmar military conducted airstrikes around seven times after the KIA seized the outpost (coded separately). Some houses were damaged. Casualties unknown.
