On 17 September 2023, in Myaing town (Myaing township, Pakokku district, Magway region), a combined force of the Phoenix Ranger PDF, the Royal Defence Force and the Wild Elephant Guerrilla Force attacked about 70 Myanmar military troops stationed at a hospital and a school with around 20 rockets. Irrawaddy reported that at least a military troop sustained severe injuries. Khit Thit Media reported that six military soldiers were injured.
