On 17 September 2023, mortar shells, grenades and ammunition were fired through drones by military forces of India including para-commandos, RR, CRPF, SoG and J&K police against TRF/LeT militants during a CASO in the forest area near Gadool Ahlan town (Anantnag district, J&K). One charred body of a suspected militant was found a day later claimed to have been killed in these strikes.
