On 20 September 2023, Azerbaijani forces shelled Martakert City and its surroundings as a result of which the residents of the city were not able to evacuate as the bridge that would have been used for the evacuation was destroyed. The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan refuted this report. Casualties unknown.
