The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) cadres shot dead a Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Head Constable, Syed Muhammad, on Jail Road in Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan, on September 17, reports The Balochistan Post. The BLA claimed responsibility for the killing. BLA ‘spokesperson’ Jeeyand Baloch said in a statement that the deceased official was affiliated with the CTD, which has been accused of various crimes, including raids on Baloch civilian houses, enforced disappearances, and the killing of innocent civilians in fake encounters.
