On September 12, the Police neutralized an interstate gang of weapon suppliers by arresting five members (named unspecified) and seized 21 pistols and magazines from their possession in Punjab, reports The Tribune. The gang allegedly operated from a jail in the Ferozepur District of Punjab by Rajiv Kaushal alias Gugu, and an accused from Madhya Pradesh identified asGudu Barela, was also arrested. Baljinder Singh and Karan Sharma, belonging to the same module were apprehended on September 5, 2023, said the report.
