On 12 September 2023, in Ban Law village of Tanintharyi township (Myeik district, Tanintharyi region), the military stationed on the Baw Di Kan Ta Dar U hill range fired several rounds of heavy artillery shells onto the village at around 12 pm. Khit Thit Media reported that eight people were injured by the shelling.
