On 12 September 2023, in Kyar Pyit Kan village of Pauk township (Pakokku district, Magway region), two rounds of 120 heavy artillery shells fired by the Myanmar military troops landed in the village and injured a 59-year-old local village. The shelling also damaged a cow and destroyed a house and an electric cable.
