On 12 September 2023, near In Gyin Su village of Pale township (Yinmarbin district, Sagaing region), joint forces of All Burma Students Democratic Front (Column 3), the Southern Yesagyo PDF and Southern Yesagyo PDF, the Yinmarbin District PDF (battalion 3, 4, 5 and 6) and unidentified local defense forces carried out an ambushed attack against a column of 80 military troops and Pyu Saw Htee members returning to In Ma Htee village after looting in In Gyin Su village with two artillery rounds at around 5 pm. Two military soldiers were killed and several others were injured.
