On 9 September 2023, in Man Wein village (Waingmaw township, Myitkyina district, Kachin state), the Myanmar military LIB-521 and a People's Militia Force fired artillery rounds into the village at around 1 pm. Five artillery shells landed in the village, damaging three houses. A 35-year-old woman sustained injuries on her head.
