On 9 September 2023, near Thit Gyi Taing village (Pale township, Yinmarbin district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military launched an airstrike with a Mi35 helicopter from the Northwest Military Command on an abandoned old base-camp of the People's Defense Force - Yinmarbin District located on Pone Taung Pone Nyar hill near the village at around 2 pm, believing that a PDF camp was located there. There were no casualties.
