On 11 September 2023, in Limeira (Sao Paulo), a group of armed members of an organized criminal group used explosives to rob two million reais stored in a safe car in the Anhanguera road. The suspects arrived in two cars and used machine guns to perforate the vehicle, followed by explosives, leaving two passengers injured. There were no fatalities.
