The device was discovered during construction work in the Morsenbroich area, on Ludwig-Beck street. Authorities have ordered all residents within a 500-meter (0.31-mile) radius of the bomb's location to evacuate the area; the directive impacts an estimated 6,000 people. Roads within the evacuation zone will also be temporarily closed during the disposal operation. It remains unclear when the operation will be completed and the restrictions lifted.
