On 5 September 2023, clashes between SAF and RSF continued near the vicinity of the SAF Armored Corps base and Ammunitions Complex in Khartoum - Jabra (Omdurman, Khartoum), with airstrikes and artillery shelling being reported. SAF claims it repulsed RSF with heavy losses (unclear if there were any casualties) and RSF claims it captured four tanks and other military vehicles.
