On 2 September 2023, in Na Ywe Pin village of Kyaukkyi township (Taungoo district, Bago-East region), heavy artillery shells fired by the Myanmar military troops landed in the village and injured a 27-year-old villager at around 2:44 pm. The injured villager later died at 3 pm.
