On 5 September 2023, near Ah Lel Bon village (Pale township, Yinmarbin district, Sagaing region), a combined force of the Pale Township Area 4 and 7, Pale People's Defence Force (PaKaPha), M7 People's Defense Army and the local PDFs attacked about 30 military soldiers and police with mines at around 8:45 am. The mines hit and injured 3 military soldiers. The military reinforcements then arrived and the combined force attacked them with mines a second time, hitting and killing 3 and injuring 10 more military soldiers, according to DVB. Irrawaddy and Myanmar Pressphoto Agency reported that 3 military soldiers were killed and a police was injured.
