On 6 September 2023, in Mohnyin township (Mohnyin district, Kachin state), an unknown armed group destroyed a railway bridge between Ho Pin station and Nan Khwin station, 700 yards north of Five Miles village, and No.630 bridge between the Mandalay-Myitkyina railway road between 656 miles 16 furlongs and 18 furlongs with remote explosives. There were no casualties.
