On 8 September 2023, in Naung Ka Lar village (Thaton township, Thaton district, Mon state), the People's Defense Force - Thaton district attacked the Pa-Oh National Organization office with a remote explosive around 4:30 am. The office was attacked before the visit of the State Administration Council's Mon state Prime Minister and regional ministers. Five military soldiers who were providing security of the Prime Minister visit were injured.
