On 2 September 2023, unidentified armed assailants exploded two bombs and attempted to blow up a culvert bridge on the NH 37 in the Leinganglon area within Keithelmanbi police station limits (Kangpokpi, Manipur) during the indefinite economic blockade called by the Committee on Tribal Unity on the National Highway, amidst ongoing violence between Meitei and Tribal communities in the state. The bridge was partly damaged but vehicles were able to go over the bridge. There were no fatalities.
