On 12 August 2023, Ukrainian air forces carried out 17 drone strikes at Russian positions near Novoozerne, Crimea. Ukrainian sources claimed to have killed Russian forces. A Russian ammunition depot was destroyed. The Russian MoD claimed that Russian air defenses shot down 14 Ukrainian drones and downed 6 more drones with electronic warfare (EW) systems. Unspecified fatalities coded as 10.
