On 28 August 2023, a bomb planted by Malay Muslim separatists went off at an electric pole in Basakachi village, Krado, Yarang (Pattani). This explosion was a deliberate attempt to block the road, hindering officials' ability to respond promptly to a nearby clash in tambon Yarang. Additionally, the separatists carried out bombings at two other nearby locations. There were no injuries or fatalities.
