On 22 August 2023, regime fighters shelled the vicinity of Nawa in Dara province with mortars after clashes took place during a demonstration held in the community near a municipal building and regime-affiliated military intelligence position calling for the regime's downfall. The clashes included the use of RPGs. Casualties unknown.
