On 31 August 2023, in Myawaddy township (Myawaddy district, Kayin state), the Myanmar military fired about 20 artillery rounds at the Let Khat Taung mountain stationed by the KNLA and the PDF (under the NUG) from about 9:30 pm to 11 pm. There were no casualties.
