On 28 August 2023, near Sei Lant village (Muse township, Muse district, Shan-North state), the Myanmar military fired artillery shells toward the direction where they assumed the TNLA troops stationed. The artillery shells fell and destroyed a monastery and pagoda on Loi Tay Main mountain and forced a head monk to flee to safety. Casualties unknown.
