On 26 August 2023, in Kyoe Kyee village (Kyaukkyi township, Taungoo district, Bago-East region), the Myanmar military IB-264 based in Peinzalok town fired three rounds of 120 mm heavy artillery shells and four villagers including a 40-year-old woman and three 25-year-old men were severely injured.
