On 26 August 2023, in Nam Sang Yang village (Waingmaw township, Myitkyina district, Kachin state), after the clash with the KIA (coded separately), the military conducted airstrikes on the village at around 5 pm and the air bombs accidentally landed on the military ground force. Casualties unknown.
