On 24 August 2023, between Kyoet Wa and Ywar Thit villages of Mindon township (Thayet district, Magway region), joint forces of the People's Defense Force - Thayet District Battalion-4, Eagle Force, Student Armed Force (SAF), and Wolf People's Defense Force carried out mine attack against about 30 military reinforcement troops with a military vehicle and a truck at around 2:20 pm. The mine attack killed eight military soldiers. The mine explosion also destroyed one military vehicle.
