On 22 August 2023, in Salin township (Minbu district, Magway region), a 132 KV electric transmission tower on Ta Nyaung-Taung Pyi Lar road was destroyed using home-made mines by a local People's Defense Force (PDF) at around 12:30 pm. There were no casualties.
