On 21 August 2023, near Thea Hpyu Ywar Thit village of Kyauktaga township (Bago district, Bago-East region), the Myanmar Police Force reported that a 300 feet tall 230 KV No.223 electric transmission tower located near the village was blasted with mines by an unknown armed group and a local PDF at around 9 pm. There were no casualties.
