On 20 August 2023, in Thein Za Yat town (Kyaikto township, Thaton district, Mon state), a combined force of the KNLA, the Kyaikhto Revolution Force, the ABSDF and the Kayan PDF (Drone Team) attacked about 30 Myanmar military troops from No.310 artillery unit and LID-77 with a bomb attached to a drone while they were lying in ambush near the Sin Hpyu Taw monastery in No.5 ward at around 5 pm. Two military troops were killed and two injured.
