On 18 August 2023, in Kyaukkyi township (Taungoo district, Bago-East region), the military conducted airstrikes three times by dropping bombs and opening fire on Khaw Lo Ka Loe, Kwee Lar and Htee Thu Khee villages starting from around 2:35 pm. Two air bombs and gunshots landed on Khaw Lo Ka Loe village, destroying four houses and killing a local. Six air bombs landed on Kwee Lar village, injuring 3 locals. Also, two air bombs landed on Htee Thu Khee village.
