On 16 August 2023, in Monywa town of Monywa township (Monywa district, Sagaing township), joint forces of Shar Htoo Waw Drone Technical Team, People's Defense Force - Monywa District Battalion-24 (Unit-3 and 4), People's Defense Force - Monywa (PaKaPha), Kani People's Defense Force - KLG, CDSOM Drone Team (001), Middle Revolution Task Force (MRTF), Myaung Special People's Defense Force (MSPDF), the PDAF: People's Defense Air Force and Daw Na Column carried out drone strikes against about 30 Myanmar military troops at a security checkpoint at the entrance of Monywa town at around 11 am. Casualties unknown.
