On 14 August 2023, in Ta Ga Nan village of Shwebo township (Shwebo district, Sagaing region), joint forces of the Buffalo Soldiers Freedom Force, Rook People's Defense Force, King Peacock Group, and Shwe Bo Defense Force (SBDF) carried out an attack using five mines against about 15 Myanmar military troops at around 7:30 pm. Six military soldiers died in the attack. The dead soldiers were taken to hospital with a light truck.
