On 13 August 2023, in Pauk Kan village (Wetlet township, Shwebo district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military conducted an airstrike at 3:40 pm and four civilians were injured. Two military fighter jets from Tada-U airbase fired with rockets and machine guns without the presence of the battle. A fighter jet fired south of the village and another one circled and fired the whole village. They targeted the clinic and school and locals claimed that they attacked the village because the people who were attacked by fighter jets in Ta Nei village were having treatment in Pauk Kan village. Three men and a woman were injured. Houses of the locals and the village high school was also destroyed.
