On 11 August 2023, in Myin Thar village (Gangaw township, Gangaw district, Magway region), the Myanmar military and Pyu Saw Htee members from Myout Khin Yan village fired five 120 mm artillery shells around 3 pm. 50-years-old woman and 30-years-old man were killed on the spot. A woman, a student and 20-years-old man were also injured and sent to a hospital. Locals claimed that the military and Pyu Saw Htee fired the artilleries for no reason and there were no PDF members in the village.
